We have years of experience and have selected the very best Tours, sites and activates for our guests to visit. We offer both options, Guided Tours for those wishing to sit back and relax or all the information you need to explore sites on your own. Praia Do Forte![]() The journey to Praia do Forte takes you along the Salvador coast passing Jaguaribe, Piata and Itapoan beaches before stopping at the lagoon (Lagoa do Abaete ). The lagoon is surrounded by white sand dunes and has many old mysterious myths; here you can enjoy a fresh coconut water before heading along the coconut coast to Praia do Forte. In Praia do Forte you will visit the important project Tamar which is responsible for research into Turtle breading and preservation. In the project Tamar you will also see many local fish spices including sharks that inhabit our local reefs. The old fishing village is now home to many beautiful craft and souvenir shops which you can wander round. The afternoon of this tour is spent on Guarajuba beach which is famous for its clear warm water, here you can take lunch in a restaurant or at one of the many Barracas on the beach before bathing and relaxing in the sun. Late afternoon you will return to Salvador (Please note entrance to PDF project Tamar and lunch are not included). Tour of the Islands![]() This tour visits two Islands in the All Saints Bay on a typical Portuguese schooner boat. You will be entertained on route by a traditional Bahia samba band whilst being offered a complimentary selection of fruits. The first stop is the Island Frades with its golden sandy beaches ideal for bathing and relaxing before heading to the largest Island in the bay Itaparica. On Itaparica you can chose to visit the old city of Itaparica or relax on the beach and enjoy a typical Bahia buffet lunch. The boat returns to the Salvador harbor late afternoon as the sun is setting (Please note transport to the old city and lunch is not included). Praia do Flamengo![]() One of the most popular beaches in Salvador. Known for its warm and calm waters, Praia do Flamengo is favoured by swimmers. Though it is relatively peaceful during the week, it has an incredible atmosphere on weekends, especially on Sundays when it is full of the locals eating, drinking and dancing the night away. Praia Flamengo is about 45 minutes from Barra by bus. Bale Folclorico da Bahia![]() This exuberant show should most definitely not be missed by anybody coming to Bahia. It is elegant, breathtakingly athletic exhibition of Afro-Bahian beauty and powers, and in the small theatre the audience almost blends into the space through which the dancers fly. Cerimonia De Candomble![]() Come with us to participate in an authentical Candomble ceremony, the most important aspect in Bahia's culture. Should you go, dress respectfully. Trousers for men, and women should wear longer skirts. White is best because it is respectful to all the orixás. "Orixá" is commonly translated as "god". A more accurate representation would perhaps be "saint". Candomblé posits a monotheistic supreme being -- usually referred to as Olodumaré -- with the orixás being called upon as intermediaries between earthbound humans and the all-powerful, much as a Christian will pray for a saint's intercession on his or her behalf. Historic Tour![]() The tour starts by visiting the museum in the oldest light-house in South America ( Farol da Barra ). Then onto the old city of Pelourinho, stopping to view important monuments before arriving in the historical centre. From the elevator with its view over the All Saints Bay (Baia de Todos os Santos ) we will walk through the historical city streets which are lined with beautiful buildings showing the different styles of architecture. We will then visit the Sao Francisco church with its magnificent gold interior, then onto the Afro Brazilian museum where you will learn about the African influence in Salvador. The tour finishes by visiting a museum dedicated to Jorge Amado, the most important Bahia writer (Please note entrance fees to the church’s and museums are not included). Panoramic Tour![]() This three hour tour starts in Barra one of the first areas to be inhabited by the Portuguese. During this tour you will visit many points of interest including Dique do Tororo Lake where you will see the statues of the Orixas and learn about the African Gods of the Candomble religion. The tour will then take you through the harbor district of the lower city heading towards the famous Bonfim church. Here you can walk getting to know the area stopping to sample Ice cream from the famous Sorveteria da Ribeira. The final stop on this tour the Mercado Modelo handy-craft market is the perfect place to purchase a few souvenirs.
